Show answer
- C. \(0.4\)
Exercise · ZW-BERNOULLI-DISTRIBUTION-006 · ★★☆ Intermediate
Choose one option.
Since \(X\) is 0 or 1, \(X^2=X\) and \(E[X^2]=E[X]=0.4\). Typical mistake: using \(p^2\).
A Bernoulli variable \(X\) only takes the values 1 (success) and 0 (failure); its only parameter \(p\) is the probability \(P\) of success.
