By the chain rule, \((\ln 3x)'=\dfrac{1}{3x}\cdot3=\dfrac{1}{x}\). It also follows from \(\ln 3x=\ln 3+\ln x\), where \(\ln 3\) is a constant.
The function \(e^x\) is its own derivative. For base \(a>0\), \(a^x\) has derivative \(a^x\ln a\), and \(\ln x\) has derivative \(\frac{1}{x}\) for \(x>0\).
