Exercise · ZW-PRODUCT-RULE-006 · ★★☆ Intermediate
Differentiate \(f(x)=e^{x} \sin {x}\).
Choose one option.
Show answer
- B. \(e^{x} \sin {x} + e^{x} \cos {x}\)
Exercise · ZW-PRODUCT-RULE-006 · ★★☆ Intermediate
Choose one option.
With \(u=e^{x}\) and \(v=\sin {x}\): \(u'=e^{x}\), \(v'=\cos {x}\). Then \((uv)'=u'v+uv'=e^{x} \sin {x} + e^{x} \cos {x}\).
Rule giving the derivative of a product of two differentiable functions: \((fg)^{\prime}=f^{\prime}g+fg^{\prime}\). It is not the product of the derivatives.
