Choose one option.
The powers of \(a^2\) are \(a^2,a^4,a^6=e\): the third is the first giving the identity. In general \(|a^k|=|a|/\gcd(|a|,k)=6/2=3\).
The order of an element \(a\) of a group with identity \(e\) is the least integer \(n>0\) with \(a^n=e\); if there is none, \(a\) is said to have infinite order.
